TENI is hiring a Sports Inclusion Coordinator

TENI seeks a Coordinator for our Sports For All project launching in 2024. This is a 6 month, fixed term position. The successful candidate will work closely with our Family Support and Education Officer to arrange a series of Sports Inclusion days throughout Ireland to improve trans youth participation in sports.
We are looking for a self motivated, action oriented person. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with young people, and be familiar with some sports.
Travel is an essential element of this role.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and running a series of non-competitive sports skills days throughout Ireland, in a variety of sports.
  • Delivering training on inclusive PE and Sports Education to Primary and Secondary schools.
  • Supporting the Family Support and Education Officer in delivering Trans Awareness Training to Primary and Secondary Schools.
  • Assist in developing a range of communication materials and resources that promote trans and non-binary inclusion within sport.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Experience, which can include lived experience, working with the trans community.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel.

Bonus Criteria:

  • Experience in event planning.
  • Experience in sports.

Terms and conditions

This position will be full-time (35 hours) fixed term contract for 6 months, and can be based
anywhere in Ireland. From time to time the successful candidate may be asked to work from
the Dublin office. Nationwide travel will be an essential part of this role. This role will
require the successful candidate to be Garda Vetted and adhere to our Child Protection
Policy.

Salary

€30,000 per annum, pro rata for 6 month contract
