TRANS-FUSION Schedule (11th - 19h June)

TRANS-FUSION Trans festival is a celebration of the awakening of the trans community in Ireland. Our festival brings events that will be moving, thought provoking, electrifying and celebratory. We hope to captivate, dazzle and rejoice. From the Irish Trans History Archive to the eclectic artistic talents of the trans community, friends and allies and finally, relaxing together at our picnic in the park.

We are delighted to announce that TRANS-FUSION Trans Pride Festival 2016 will take place from 11th to 19th June. Having won LGBT Event of 2015 at the GALAs, we think it’s time to get bigger. Now spanning eight days, there will be many more events than last year, including the launch of the Irish Trans Community History Archive.

Today (Thursday 31st March), the Trans Youth Forum report was launched to mark the International Transgender Day of Visibility. This report documents the findings from the first Trans Youth Forum that was held July 15th 2015 and included 55 participants between the ages of 14-25 years of age.

Press Release: 113 Trans People Now Legally Recognised in Ireland

Since the commencement of the Gender Recognition Act, 113 Gender Recognition Certificates have been issued. "Six months after the commencement of the Act we can see that trans people are availing of legal recognition," said TENI Chief Executive Broden Giambrone.
