Calling trans women and trans-feminine people: take part in an exciting new art project!

TENI is excited to work with artist Eva O'Donovan on a project which will celebrate trans women and trans-feminine people through painting. Throughout history, trans people have been invisible in art and we hope that this project will be a small step towards redressing this lack of visibility.

Eva's work merges elements of fashion, interior design and portraiture in paintings that she creates on specially sourced printed fabrics. Her artwork celebrates femininity and the strength of women.  However, as she says, "there is a big void in my work with the lack of women from the trans community".

What is this project?

Eva would like to meet with women and trans feminine people interested in being featured. The next step is to have professional portraits taken of the participants. Participants are encouraged to present themselves as they wish to be represented and a stylist will help to create strong, dynamic silhouettes for the photographs from which Eva will paint.  Eva says, "My paintings are not photographic representations and my goal is to show the spirit of the person, but participants should be aware that the finished painting may be slightly different from the photograph. I will, however, discuss the end result with the sitter and would never present a painting that the model is not happy with. The most important thing is that it is a positive experience for those who are kind enough to be involved."

How can you get involved?

Contact us at and we will arrange an initial meeting with Eva, so you can have a chat about the project!

We think this is a lovely opportunity to take part in a really exciting project!
