Outcome Report from Senator Zappone's Civic Forum Now Available
The Outcome Report of Senator Zappone's Civic Forum that was held on 14th January is now available for download.

This event was the first of its kind in Ireland and brought together forty trans people, their families and allies. The Civic Forum offered a productive, structured and focused platform for the trans community to offer their views on the current Bill and voice their concerns on the provisions of the proposed legislation.
The information in this report is a summary of what was raised in the Civic Forum and highlights the impact this legislation will have on trans and intersex people in Ireland. It is important that trans voices are heard in this debate, and that the issues raised by trans people are listened to. This legislation should reflect the reality of our lived experiences.
Update:
The second stage debate of the Gender Recognition Bill 2014 continues tomorrow (28 Jan) in the Seanad. The next stage shall be committee stage where the bill can be amended. Senator Zappone and I will keep you updated as the bill progresses through the legislative process.
