UNITARIAN CHURCH, STEPHEN'S GREEN, D2
The 5th Trans Day of Remembrance takes place Saturday 19th November at 8pm in the Unitarian Church, St. Stephens Green.
This event commemorates the lives injured and lost due to transphobia. Through candle lighting, speeches and songs we remember and also look forward to a new year ahead, and better lives for trans people in Ireland.
The Trans Day of Remembrance gives us the opportunity to critically examine how transphobia effects the trans community beyond murder. It also gives us a chance to look forward to what we are changing and what happens the 364 days that we are not formally remembering.
Organised by Sara Philips and Lynda Sheridan. Supported by TENI, Gender Identity Support Ireland, Running Amach, the Unitarian Church and the Lord Mayor's Office.
