"Don't be 'That Guy'. How to be a good Trans ally" A talk as part of the Knowledge Exchange on 23rd October in the Exchange, Temple Bar, Dublin at 12.30.
This is not a standard Trans 101. This is a guide for allies and people with good intentions. Don’t be ‘That Guy’ who makes Trans* people uncomfortable. Be a good ally! This talk will help you become better at understanding and engaging with the issues Trans* people face. If you believe in equality for Trans* people and want to know how you can help more and help BETTER, come along!
If you’re Trans* and want to have something to share with allies, then this is a safe space for that too. (Trans* is used as an inclusive term to encompass everyone who feels the gender they’ve been assigned at birth doesn’t quite describe them).
