"I Still Believe" - Documentary Screening

“I still believe” is a fascinating documentary about the activist of the Solidarity movement in Poland in the 80-ties, Marek Holuszko, who in 2000 became Ewa Holuszko and stopped fitting into the Polish patriotic narration.
Marek Holuszko always knew she was a woman. Now, she can just be herself. Socially, however, it was a great change, and socially also Poland transformed tremendously since 1989. Marek fought for these systemic changes: as one of the original members of Solidarity, he counseled strikes and spent some time in prison But now, what kind of home is this free Poland for Ewa Holuszko? Is it the kind of Poland Marek fought for?
The movie will be followed by a screening of interview with Anna Grodzka, Polish MP, recorded during her visit to Ireland as the Grand Marshal of Dublin Pride Parade in 2013.
